Audio / Video Systems

Court supplied audio/video (AV) equipment is available for use in the courtroom, but it must be approved by a judicial officer in advance of submitting a reservation request, when possible. All equipment is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please submit your equipment reservation request after you have been assigned to a trial/hearing department, you have a trial/hearing date scheduled and after the judicial officer has approved the AV equipment request. Please provide at least 24-hour notice, when possible.

If your AV equipment request is for a trial/hearing that is being assigned for the same day as the day of the equipment request, please submit a request at least 24 hours prior noting the case name, the type of trial/hearing that the matter is set for and the expected duration of the equipment need. Once approved by the assigned judge, you and the courtroom staff may contact the IT department to bring the equipment to the courtroom.

Please e-mail your A/V requests to AVrequest@sanmateocourt.org.

Requests to use Zoom audio/video during your trial/hearing must be submitted directly to the trial/hearing department, unless your matter will be heard on a calendar that requires or encourages a Zoom appearance as outlined in the Calendar Appearance Requirement Matrix.
